 Shayla Wilson, LCSW-S

Shayla Wilson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and certified social work case manager. Culturally cross-trained in EMDR, a clinician with years of experience providing play therapy, trauma-informed care, and chronic care support to individuals, children, and families.

From parenting to adolescent peer relationships, managing chronic illnesses, and navigating disordered eating. I have been leading people back to their purpose and finding their meaning.  I believe life gives us courses that can be simultaneously beautiful and challenging at once; often times such changes unfold within a system that doesn't necessarily support your feelings and thoughts. If you've experienced this feeling then you've come to the right place.  As a black therapist, it's my passion to serve BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, & People of Color), and ALL those in need of culturally sensitive understanding.

Destiny Yates, LPC Intern

Hello, my name is Destiny Montana-Yates, and I am a graduate student at Pepperdine University working toward licensure as a Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). As a U.S. Navy veteran, I bring a unique perspective to my work with clients, grounded in resilience, empathy, and a deep understanding of life transitions.
My clinical interests include trauma-informed care, family systems, and supporting veterans and underserved communities. I believe in creating a safe, collaborative, and culturally sensitive space where individuals and families can explore challenges, build coping skills, and move toward healing.
In addition to my clinical training, I enjoy contributing to mental health awareness through writing, creative projects, and community engagement. My long-term goal is to establish a private practice that integrates evidence-based therapy with advocacy and holistic approaches, helping individuals not only recover but also thrive.
